Why is my vent hood not removing smoke or odour?
If you’re noticing that your vent hood is not removing smoke or unwanted odours from your kitchen, these troubleshooting tips may help you determine the cause: - Verify that the controls are properly set in accordance with the Owner’s Manual. - Ensure that the grease filter is installed and properly cleaned. - Make sure ventilation is not interfered with by other air movement devices such as ceiling fans, air conditioner registers, etc. - Determine if an existing makeup air system is installed in your kitchen. - Ensure that the vent system was installed correctly. If the area is too tight, it will prevent the circulation of air. If your vent hood is still not removing smoke or odours, our Technicians can help.
Why is my vent hood making noise/rattling?
If your vent hood rattles while in operation, this could be an indication that you may have a loose or damaged component that requires a service repair. Here are a few tips that may help you identify the source of the noise: - After removing the power supply, check that the screws holding down the cover are tight in place. - Your fan and exhaust fan motors may be worn out. - Motor bearings on the exhaust fan may be worn out.
